Survey on Collaborative Behavior in Organizations

Posted on March 30, 2009 at 1:58 pm by Eugene Eric Kim

We’re currently trying to get a sense of how organizations collaborate with each other, both online and face-to-face. As a first step, we’re asking people to complete an anonymous survey. The survey should take about 20 minutes to complete.

We’re particularly interested in small organizations and nonprofits. If you yourself belong to such an organization, please complete the survey, and if you know of others who fit that profile, please forward it to them as well.

We’ll be publishing the results of this survey (freely, as always), and I think you’ll find the results fascinating. You’ll not only get a sense of the overall landscape of collaborative behavior, you’ll also have the chance to see how your behavior compares to other organizations.

  2. Hi. I'm interested to see the results of this survey. Where can I get a copy?

  3. Love the post! I teach a group of children to perform violin together, and our modus operandi has always been to stand in rows, facing the audience. I’ve been playing with “the circle” configuration over the past several months (after 30+ years of training and practice in rows!), and I have noticed a huge difference in focus, listening, and awareness that each child is part of the larger group. Somehow, in rows, it’s only the leader in front who gets a sense of the group dynamic. All eyes are on the leader, but only the leader gets to see the other eyes. Thought provoking!
