This workshop is about how we can work together more effectively to improve the world. Over the past three years, we've had the joy of working with a diverse community of people and organizations, all of whom share similar values. We all believe in the power and importance of collaboration and social networks, especially in a world of ever-growing complexity. We are all action-oriented. And we all want to do good.
The purpose of this workshop is to explore ways to catalyze collaboration both within our respective communities and within society at large. What are the tools -- both social and technical -- that will enable us to do this?
Blue Oxen Associates and J. Fairchild are inviting a world-class and diverse group of individuals from all sectors to participate in this first workshop, which will be highly interactive and participatory. (See the RSVPs below.) This will be an outstanding opportunity not only to explore real solutions, but to meet the people involved who can contribute to all aspects of these solutions.
The outcomes of the event will be documented on an open, Creative Commons-licensed Wiki. This workshop will be the first of many.
The workshop will be held on Friday, January 27, 2006 from 9am-5pm at 1366 Mission, a wonderful space in the heart of San Francisco, California. Continental breakfast and lunch will be provided. The workshop will cost $95 to cover the space, meals, and documentation.
Unfortunately, due to space considerations, we must limit attendance, so please RSVP soon. You may RSVP by emailing rsvp-at-blueoxen-dot-com.
